“Pale September” is a self-portrait. I did some work as a life model when I was a young art student and I still use my own body for some compositions whenever I need it. It’s an interesting exercise to switch between the role of a model and the role of an artist, it helps me bring ideas to life and to also cope with my emotions in a cathartic way. I took inspiration from Fiona Apple’s song by the same name, the idea of vulnerability expressed like a falling when she sings “And all my armour falling down in a pile at my feet” . We can see many of what I call my leitmotif in this work: the juxtaposition of the double loose line work, the geometry framing detail and the watercolour brushes.

Erótica" Series (2016)

The internet offers a huge variety of pornography and erotic images, catering to all tastes.
Sexuality, sensuality, and eroticism are concepts closely related; all reflect the human's ability to feel desire and provoke it. All these concepts have historically been the subject of art. But the internet has made it possible to showcase and share what once was considered taboo, in a massively absurd amount. It seems that the internet will never be tired of pornography and I wanted to contribute to it by redefining some of the
the different varieties and categories of erotic material that are in demand.

I believe eroticism is also an invitation to reflect on raw human emotions and power dynamics. What we consume and how we portrait our collective desire transcends the mere sexual interactions we experienced, specially if we take in consideration that for many of us, the internet was the only source of sexual education.
